Prescribed form for Gas Connection & regarding particulars.

1. Application are invited by publishing an advertisement in the newspaper depending upon the availability of gas supply. Connections are then issued after due assessment.
2. Gas connection is issued at a concession at rate for the purpose of running an air condition plant based on Natural Gas.
3. Safe custody scheme has been introduced for domestic gas connections vide resolution No. 457/11-12-97 of the standing committee. This connection can be put in the safe custody for five years on payment if Rs. 300/- annually.
4. Rules and rates regarding change of name/shifting of connection have been approved by the standing committee resolution No. 254/30-10-96.They are given below. Under this category the house hold connection can be transferred to the direct heir of the family i. e. the leaner heir.

5. Direct heir of the family includes parents, husband- wife, son-daughter, daughter. in law, grandsons & grand daughters.
6. On expiry of the connection holder any one of the persons included in pare 5 above can produce proof of being the direct heir of the family by producing any of the below documents.
A. True copy of the ration card or receipt of rent or copy of the Municipal assessment register.
B. Death certificate of the deceased.
C. Affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs. 20/- before notary public by all the heirs of the family.
7. Last paid bill of the connection, which is to be transferred. There should be no outstanding dues in this respect.
8. To transfer the connection on the basis of being an heir of the family, from the place of origin to the place where the heir stays, any of the following documents must be produced. This includes a true copy of the sale deed or certificate from the president of the society or municipal tax bill or true copy of the ration card. Necessary charges are also to be paid.
9. If the connection is to be transferred to the rental place of the heir, he must produce any of the documents mentioned here. This includes a true copy of the ration card bearing new address or a receipt of rent or an affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs. 20/- signed before a second class magistrate.
10. For shifting of the connection, there must be mechanical & administrative facility available and there must also be an existing pipeline within a specified area.
11. Decision of the Project Engineer (Gas) will be final and binding in this respect.

12. All applications other than those made under the linear heir will be treated as general category.
13. Under this category, any person can applly to the project Engineer (Gas) for transfer of the connection either commercial or non-commercial from any other consumer.
14. Required charges will have to be deposited under this category.
15. 1. An affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs . 20/- before a second class magistrate will have to be produced by the applicant.
2. The latest paid gas bill must be produced with the application. All other out-standing dues in this respect must also be paid.
16. Besides the charges fixed for the transfer under General category, charges for shifting of connection must also be paid.
17. Under this category for shifting the connection at a new residence, the proof regarding this must be enclosed. The proof may include ration card with new address, Xerox copy of the municipal tax bill or a certificate from the president/secretary of the society.
18. (A) If the non-commercial connection is to be shifted to the rented house, following proof must be produced.
1. Photocopy of the light bill, ration card or receipt for rent.
2. Affidavit made before the second class magistrate on a stamp paper worth Rs. 20/- regarding rental accommodation.
(B) If case the commercial connection is to be shifted to a rental accommodation, the following proof must be produced.
1. Receipt of payment of rent OR municipal tax bill with the name of the applicant OR an affidavit on a stamp paper worth Rs. 20/- made before the second class magistrate regarding the rental accommodation.
19. Mechanical and administrative facilities must be available at the place where the connection is to be transferred.
20. Decision of the Project Engineer Gas will be final & binding in all cases of shifting of the connection.
