You require the permission of the VMC for displaying any hoarding, banner or advertising board even in private premises if such banners face public streets. Small boards advertising doing the business carried on in the premises are exempted for obtaining this permission.

How to apply :

On a plain paper to the land and estate officer (commercial) with the following details:

1. Size: The maximum permissible size for hoarding / bill boards is 20’ X 10’ and for cloth banner it is 3’ X 1’.
2. Location.
3. The period for which it will be displayed.
4. Contents.

Processing time :

Usually 7 days to allow inspection of the site.

Charges :

Applicable charges vary and will be collected along with acceptance. Banners are not permissible across the road and in Govt. / Semi govt. premises.

Wall painting is not permissible on public buildings or open plots.
